Shad has taken everything he learned from his dad growing up on a livestock farm near Sidney and his love of the sport of bullriding to create a successful operation. Through this knowledge and his passion for bull riding, Shad and his family have created one of the most sought after stock contracting companies in the Midwest. The award winning Extreme Bullriding Tour continues each year to bring great entertainment to fairs and festivals.

Shad began riding bulls in high school rodeo where he excelled quickly. At 18 he joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and qualified for the Great Lakes Circuit Finals in his permit year. At the age of 19, he produced his first of many bull ridings. After 27 years in the business, Double S Bull Company has supplied stock to over 2,000 bull ridings and rodeos in twenty plus different states from high school rodeos to every main stage in the country; Bull Fighters Only World Finals (BFO), Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR), and the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Unleash the Beast events. Shad is the only stock contractor in America to have stock at all 3 World Finals. In addition, they have won go rounds at all three World Finals the three biggest stages to have stock at.

Shad is a charter member of two of the first bull riding associations ever formed to sanction solely bull riding events. The members of these associations have voted Double S Bull Company the Stock Contractor of the Year 22 times. Double S Bull Company bulls have also won numerous Bull of the Year and other awards in these associations. Shad has been elected to serve on the board of directors since 1997 and continues to be an active member of both associations.
